Pool looking worn out or ready for an upgrade? Talk to a local resurfacing pro.
Concrete pools need a new interior surface every so often, and it's the natural time to redo the tile, coping and plumbing, or take on a full renovation. Tell us about your pool and we'll pass your request to an independent contractor who serves Southwestern Ontario, from Windsor and Sarnia to Niagara and Simcoe County. It's free to use, and you agree on the price directly with the company doing the work.

Learn moreSigns it's time to resurface or renovate
A contractor has to see the pool to say for sure. These are the usual signs.
Rough surface
The walls or floor feel sandpaper-rough on bare feet or skin.
Stains and discolouration
Dark, rusty or blotchy patches that don't come out with normal cleaning.
Tired tile or coping
Waterline tile or coping stones that are cracked, loose, stained or simply dated. They're usually replaced when the pool is resurfaced.
Hollow spots or flaking
Areas that sound hollow when tapped, or pieces of surface lifting away.
Etching and fading
Pitted or chalky surface, often after years of water that was out of balance.
You want a new look
Resurfacing is the time to change the finish colour, update the tile and coping, or take on a full renovation.
An empty pool can be damaged by groundwater pushing on it from outside. Draining is planned for you as part of the job.
What affects the price
Every pool is different, so a contractor needs to see yours. These are the main things that change a quote:
- The size and depth of the pool
- Whether it's a resurface or a full renovation
- The finish you choose (marbelite or concrete plaster)
- How much of the old surface has to come off
- New waterline tile, trim or coping stone
- Plumbing work, such as replacing old lines or fittings
- Draining, disposal and access to your yard

Questions
Are you the pool contractor?
No. We're a referral service. We pass your request to an independent local contractor, who does the assessment, quote and work.
Do I pay you anything?
No. The service is free for pool owners. You only pay for the work if you decide to go ahead.
What areas do you cover?
Southwestern Ontario, from Windsor and Sarnia through London, Kitchener-Waterloo and Hamilton to Niagara, the GTA and Simcoe County. See the full list of areas.
Which finish should I choose?
Most concrete pools here are finished in marbelite or concrete plaster. It depends on your budget, how long you want it to last and the colour you like. You'll be walked through the options for your pool.
Can the tile and coping be redone at the same time?
Yes, and it's the best time to do it. Waterline tile, trim and coping stone can be replaced while the pool is empty for resurfacing, so the whole pool looks new.
Do you do pool plumbing?
Yes, on its own or as part of resurfacing and renovation work. Old lines, returns and fittings are easiest to replace while the pool is open, so they don't need to be dug up again later.
What does a full renovation include?
It depends on the pool, but usually a new marbelite or plaster interior, new waterline tile and trim, new coping stone and updated plumbing. The scope is worked out with you on site.
Can you fix a small crack or leak?
We're not the right fit for small patch jobs or leak hunting. The focus is on resurfacing, tile, coping, plumbing and renovations. If your pool is due for a new surface, existing problems are looked at as part of that job.
When can the work happen?
Resurfacing needs suitable weather, so most work in Ontario is done from spring to fall. You'll get a schedule along with your quote.
Who stands behind the work?
The company that does the work. Any warranty is between you and them, so ask about it before you agree to the job.
