What pool plumbing covers
- Supply and return lines between the pool and the equipment
- Return fittings, skimmers and main drains

When to look at it
If the pool is losing water, the equipment struggles to pull or push water, or fittings are cracked and brittle, the plumbing may be at the end of its life. Older pools may still have original lines and fittings that are worth replacing before they fail.
Do it while the pool is open
The best time to replace plumbing in the pool shell is when it's drained for resurfacing or a renovation. Fixing it then means the new finish, tile and coping don't have to be disturbed again later.
Questions
Do I need to resurface to have plumbing done?
No. Plumbing can be done on its own. If the pool is due for a new surface soon anyway, doing both together usually saves work.
My pool is losing water. Is it the plumbing?
It could be the plumbing, a fitting or the shell. It's worth having it looked at, but we're not the right fit for a one-off leak search on a pool that's otherwise in good shape.
