Privacy notice

PoolResurfacing.ca is a referral service operated by True North Referrals, a sole proprietorship registered in Ontario ("we", "us"). This notice explains what information we collect when you contact us, why, and who we share it with.

What we collect

When you send the form or call us, we collect:

• Your name, phone number and postal code
• The work you're interested in, your pool's size and anything you tell us about your pool
• The page of our website you sent the form from

Like most websites, our hosting provider may also record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type. We don't use advertising cookies.

Why we collect it

• To pass your request to an independent contractor who serves your area, so they can contact you about your pool
• To follow up with you or the contractor about the status of your request
• To keep basic records of the referrals we make

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it to send you marketing.

Who we share it with

• The contractor who takes your job. They receive your details so they can call you, assess your pool and give you a quote. Once you're dealing with them directly, their own privacy practices apply.
• Service providers that help us run the site. Our form is delivered by email through FormSubmit, and we use Microsoft Outlook for email. These providers may store information outside Canada, including in the United States.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Your consent

By sending the form or calling us, you consent to us collecting your information and sharing it as described above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. If you do, we won't pass your details on to anyone new, but we can't undo a referral that has already been sent.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for your request and our business records, and then delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email truenorthreferrals@outlook.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
